Cyclone 'Midhili' to make landfall in Bangladesh coast, fishermen warned not to venture into sea

A deep depression over the Bay of Bengal has intensified into a cyclonic storm named 'Midhili' and is expected to make landfall on the Bangladesh coast on November 17 or 18. The storm is forecasted to have a maximum wind speed of 80 kmph. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has warned fishermen to avoid venturing into the sea in the north Bay of Bengal and along the West Bengal coasts until November 18. The cyclone is not expected to have a major impact on Odisha.
