A tropical disturbance caused power outages and severe weather in the Caribbean, affecting Jamaica, Haiti, and other regions. The disturbance, which was initially thought to become a tropical cyclone, is now unlikely to do so. However, heavy rains continue to pose a danger, with up to 16 inches of rain expected in some areas. Authorities have reported two deaths in Haiti due to flooding.
